(HOLDING IT ALOFT) The rubber.  Amazing!  It's magical!  Do you know what it can do?  It can make words disappear!  Same for drawings!  Lines!  Scribbles, mistakes!  Anything!  As long as it's in pencil, it can't do ink.  But my god, it's quite magical, isn't it!  Can you believe it?  It's amazing when you think about it!  And do you know what else?  The rubber is rubbing itself out too!  It's like the magic of rubbing is too much for even a rubber to handle- it's slowly disappearing!  It's like magic ontop of magic!  Like magicking magic!  Like a rabbit pulling a hat out of a… hat!  No?  Ok, a hat pulling a rabbit out of a hat.  And yes, of course, the hat has to have magical arms, otherwise it wouldn't make sense!  (PAUSE) Yes, alright I know, it's stupid.  Rabbits don't have the manual dexterity to pull anything out of a hat.  But what if it was a magical rabbit?  (BEAT) Sure, here, (HANDING BACK THE RUBBER) no I wasn't going to steal it.
