[ the inevitable resist ]

I
One billion planets being torn asunder,
by the burning hands of a cheated god,
could not fully emulate the disrupted beat,
of a heart that bleeds for you.

II
The moon pulls the earth,
swinging around the blazing sun,
a gravitational pursuit,
closing my eyes to the sign,
where only a broken step leads off the path,
to you- and destruction in molten flames.

III
Would I gladly melt in those arms,
my purpose seen through,
like a caged phoenix,
I breathe air on recycled time,
all for you.

IV
A volcano rumbles behind my furrowed brow as i slumber,
restless as love leaves me weightless.
And here I wait,
all in this time,
only for you.
